Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Foundation Program

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Foundation Program operates for those Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who do not meet the normal admission requirements of UC, have not passed Year 12 (or equivalent) but have a reasonable chance of success. It also provides entry to University for those students who have been away from study for many years and would like to develop the communication and study skills needed for success at University. The program is delivered through the University of Canberra College in close collaboration with the Ngunnawal Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Support Centre

Entry Requirements:

Interview and skills assessment conducted by the Ngunnawal Centre; Students must complete the Student Needs Assessment which involves written Essay; Mathematics; Interview with Academic Advisor

Structure:

At least 9 credit points, including two foundational units and at least one mainstream unit.

Foundation communication skills; Foundation study skills

Study Pathways:

Direct entry into most University of Canberra degrees.
