This course will cover a range of topics designed to give students a comprehensive understanding of the concepts and strategies behind business and politics around the world - and then explore issues such as Brexit, the Trump presidency, war, energy security and marriage equality and how they have the potential to influence change on a global scale. The course will also teach students how to develop high level theoretical and empirical analysis and interpretation skills and use these to academically critique international issues, such as democratically informed citizenship, contemporary issues in politics and policy, national security, the challenges of modern terrorism, and contemporary regional politics in the Asia Pacific in an international context.
