Awarded to second year or above financially disadvantaged students from a rural, regional or remote area showing leadership potential
Eligibility
Applicants must: be Australian citizens or holders of a permanent humanitarian visa; undertake 3 or more units each semester in the final year of the Bachelor of Education; and come from a rural background. Applicants must attach a statement of approximately 500 words addressing the following criteria: the applicants' level of financial need and how the scholarship will assist them through their tertiary studies; the applicant's experiences with living in a rural area and any challenges faced; the applicant's prior academic achievement; and evidence in the form of past or current leadership roles in school, community or sporting life to demonstrate potential for educational leadership.
