The funds for the scholarship have been donated by the Lions Club of Melbourne Chinese Inc. to enable a student of Chinese at the University of Melbourne to undertake a period of short intensive study in China through the Intensive Chinese Program: China.
Eligibility
Applicants must: be Australian citizens or permanent residents; have successfully completed 2 semester of study of Chinese; and be a currently enrolled diploma or degree student at the University of Melbourne. Selection is based on a combination of academic merit and community involvement. Preference will be given to students who have not previously had an opportunity to study in China.
