Queen's College McComb Hockey Scholarship
University of Melbourne, The
Dr Harold McComb attended Queen's from 1945-47 while studying medicine. He subsequently became a distinguished plastic surgeon in Perth. His wife, Dr Athel Hockey, was a non-resident medical student at Queen's from 1944-47. She also pursued a medical career in West Australia, first as a paediatrician and later as head of the Genetics Department at the University of West Australia.
Eligibility
The scholarship is open to students from rural backgrounds who can demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to students who aspire to the study of medicine or other health sciences.
