This program provides students with music training in an online environment. Students build their music performance, aural and music technology skills, with options for further developing their skills in songwriting, composition, performance, music production and knowledge of the historical, cultural and theoretical background of music genres. Graduates of the program will have developed confidence in a wide variety of music skills and knowledge.
Structure
48 credit points (equivalent to 8 standard units) including core units and a choice of listed units.

Standard entry requirements
- Year 12 or equivalent
- Or admission through an articulation program. All students must complete a written personal statement
- And shall have on admission a performing standard equivalent to Grade 6 of the Australian Examinations Board demonstrated via audition or music performance qualifications
- And a music theory standard equivalent to Grade 4 of the Australian Music Examinations Board demonstrated via music performance qualifications or the successful completion of a music theory test set by the Music Discipline Convenor.
Study pathways
This program is a pathway to full bachelor level studies in Music or Education. Students may be eligible for credit (advanced standing) for previously completed studies.
