Physiotherapy graduates have the opportunity to undertake the first stage in an ongoing program for clinical physiotherapists working in various fields of special interest. The program assists graduates to acquire a knowledge and understanding of advanced clinical skills; to broaden their clinical skills across the field of practice; and critically evaluate and contribute to research in their clinical area. Professional development in clinical specialty areas and research are major career demands for physiotherapists. Students develop up-to-date knowledge and research skills in the fields of manipulative physiotherapy; sports; paediatrics; cardiothoracics; gerontology; neurology; and clinical. Students undertaking a Master of Physiotherapy in either Manipulative or Sports Physiotherapy could obtain a second master degree in the alternate area through an additional semester of full-time coursework.

Entry Requirements:

A Bachelor of Physiotherapy with a minimum GPA of 4.0 or equivalent, plus 2 years full-time relevant professional experience and evidence of continuing professional education; or equivalent qualifications and experience

Students are required to provide proof of immunisation against certain diseases, including hepatitis B. Students are required to have a current Senior First Aid Certificate (including CPR) and Blue Card. The following additional documentation must be submitted with all applications: the names and contact details of two referees; a curriculum vitae showing full work history; evidence of continuing professional education
