Cowan International Placement Grant

The Cowan International Placement Grant is available to students who are studying full-time at the University of South Australia, and are undertaking a professional experience placement in an overseas location as part of their program.

Eligibility

Applicants must: be full-time; be undertaking a professional experience placement in an overseas location as part of their program. Applicants must be able to demonstrate evidence of financial disadvantage and provide a written statement detailing the location and duration of their placement and their future career goals. Placements must be for a minimum of 2 consecutive weeks in length and preference will be given to applicants who are undertaking a placement in a developing country. Applicants must be undertaking their placement in the year that they apply for the grant. Applicants who have received another placement grant administered by the University of South Australia are not eligible to apply. Recipients will be selected on the basis of demonstrated financial disadvantage, academic merit (GPA) and a personal written statement. Preference may be given to applicants who have not received another Cowan Grant.

Further details

The grant will not be awarded retrospectively. Applicants must not have completed their placement prior to the application closing date.

Amount $2,000

The grant is valued at $2,000 and is paid in one instalment.
