The grant is available to full-time students who have a career interest in the field of nursing those with dementia. Applicants in the second year of the Bachelor of Nursing must submit a 3,000 word essay on a topic related to the care of people with dementia. The essay can take the form of a literature review, discussion paper or case study; must follow the conventions of a scholarly/academic paper and be referenced using the Harvard reference system. The essay must be the students own work and no joint authorship will be considered.

The grant will support the clinical nursing placement course in a context of practice where people with dementia are nursed.

$2,400
The grant provides $2,400 to be paid in 2 instalments of $1,200 after the successful completion of Study Period 1 and Study Period 2 census dates. Payments are subject to satisfactory academic performance.
