Division of Health Sciences Research Vacation Scholarship

The purpose of the grant is to enable undergraduate students in the Division of Health Sciences, to undertake a research placement with an experienced researcher over the summer vacation period, in research fields within the Division of Health Sciences. The intended outcomes are to encourage participation of outstanding students who may be interested in exploring a higher degree by research; to stimulate students' interest in research; and to gauge students' research aptitude. The scholarships are not intended to support the employment of students for routine work or the completion of program requirements.
Eligibility
The scholarship is open to current undergraduate second, third year or final year students in a 'with Honours' program or in an Honours program within the Division of Health Sciences. Applicants will be considered on a case by case basis. Recipients will be selected on the basis of academic merit (usually recipients have a GPA of 5 or above).
Amount | $2,400 The scholarship is valued at $300 per week for the agreed tenure, which is up to a maximum of 8 weeks (to a maximum value of $2,400). Payment is made fortnightly in arrears. |
