Elite Athlete Scholarship

The University of South Australia (UniSA) has a proud history of supporting elite athletes to achieve their best in their sport and studies. The UniSA Elite Athlete Scholarship extends this support to reduce the financial pressures associated with study, so students can focus on achieving their sporting and academic careers. The Elite Athlete Scholarship will be awarded to South Australian students who have achieved an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank and have enrolled to study a UniSA undergraduate Bachelor's degree.

Eligibility

To be eligible for consideration students must: Meet academic entry requirements for their chosen program of study, and have successfully applied through SATAC to study a Bachelor degree at UniSA; be a commencing UniSA student who has completed year 12 in South Australia in the period since the scholarship was last awarded; be starting university for the first time; be an Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia; register as an elite athlete with UniSA by the scholarship closing date; have won a medal within the last 4 years in a South Australian Sports Institute (SASI) recognised sport at one (or more) of the below competition levels: 1. Olympic Games 2. Commonwealth Games 3. World Championship Games. Applicants are required to submit: UniSA Elite Athlete Registration Form and a supporting statement describing how the Elite Athlete Scholarship will support your sport and academic endeavours. Scholarship payments will be made following Study Period 2 and Study Period 5 census dates. Pro-rata payments will apply for part-time enrolment.

Amount $20,000

The scholarship is valued at $20,000 per annum (to a maximum of $80,000), for up to 4 years of full-time study (or part-time equivalent), to support their educational and living expenses.
