The Gavin Wanganeen Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Scholarship (Sponsored by Motorola Solutions) will be awarded to an *Aboriginal student(s) who is enrolled full-time or part-time in an IT or Engineering-related undergraduate program at UniSA. The recipient(s) will receive up to $5‚000 per year for the duration of their program. A full-time recipient will receive $5‚000 per year‚ paid in two instalments of $2‚500 after the Study Period 2 and Study Period 5 census dates. Part-time recipients will receive $2,500 per year, paid in two instalments of $1,250 after the Study Period 2 and Study Period 5 census dates.To continue receiving the scholarship the recipient(s) must maintains full-time enrolment and satisfactory academic merit.

Eligibility

Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an IT or Engineering-related undergraduate program at the University of South Australia. Applicants will be asked to provide a personal written statement (250 words) detailing: reasons for studying their current program academic achievements community service involvement future career goals how they identify as an Australian Indigenous person. Preference may be given to applicants who can demonstrate financial disadvantage and/or academic merit.

Amount $5,000

The scholarship is valued at up to $12,500 which will be apportioned over the life of an agreed program of study. The recipient will receive up to $5,000 a year paid in 2 instalments of up to $2,500 after the Study Period 2 and Study Period 5 census dates for the life of their program. Part-time recipients will receive $2,500 per year, paid in 2 instalments of $1,250 after the Study Period 2 and Study Period 5 census dates. Payment is subject to the recipient continuing to meet the scholarship criteria and maintaining satisfactory academic performance.
