Ian D McLachlan Memorial Scholarship

The scholarship was established in recognition of Ian McLachlan, long-standing Council member of UniSA, who died on 30 April 2011. Ian was a member of the University's Finance Committee and University Council, and made significant contributions to the University through his role as Presiding Officer to the Audit and Risk Management Committee; and as Director of the ITEK Pty Ltd Board (UniSA's commercial arm).

Eligibility

Applicants must: be Australian citizens or permanent residents; be commencing undergraduate or Honours students; completed Year 11 or 12 at Unley High School, or are from a rural or isolated area are encouraged to apply, but it is not an essential criteria; be full-time students enrolled in one of the following programs: Bachelor of Commerce; Bachelor of Commerce (Honours); Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Applied Finance; Bachelor of Laws/Bachelor of Commerce. Selection is based on academic merit, financial disadvantage, basis of interview and a submission of a personal written statement (500 words) detailing career and personal goals and how the scholarship will assist their studies.

Amount $5,000

The scholarship is valued at $5,000 per annum, for a maximum of 5 years.
