Eligibility
The Wilhelm Ruff Science Grant will be awarded to a student who is enrolled in the Bachelor of Science program at UniSA. Applicants should have completed a minimum of 54 units, and be enrolled full-time (equivalent to at least 27 units - 13.5 units per half year). The grant is designed to assist recipients meet the costs associated with study including textbooks, travel costs, computing equipment or other out-of-pocket expenses. The eligible program is Bachelor of Science (LBSC) and applicants must be completing a major in at least one of the following areas: - Applied Physics - Chemistry - Mathematics Applicants will be required to provide a personal written statement (maximum 500 words) detailing: - Reasons for studying their current program and majors and their passion for science. - Academic achievements. - Future career goals. - Any financial disadvantage or hardship that the applicant would like taken into consideration. The recipient will be selected based on academic merit (minimum Grade Point Average of 5.0) and passion for science as demonstrated in the personal written statement. Preference may be given to female applicants or applicants facing financial disadvantage or hardship.
