Felicity Purcell Nursing Bursary

Each year, USQ will offer the Felicity Purcell Nursing Bursary to an undergraduate student commencing or continuing study in a Bachelor of Nursing at the USQ Toowoomba or Fraser Coast campuses. Felicity Purcell was a nursing student at USQ, graduating with a Bachelor of Nursing in 1994. This bursary promotes the best traditions of nursing's ethos of care for others, as embodied by Felicity Purcell. Specifically, it provides financial assistance to a nursing student who, like Felicity, comes from a rural or remote background.
Eligibility
Applicants must: be Australian citizens or permanent residents; be from a rural area within Queensland; be commencing or continuing their studies in a Bachelor of Nursing in Semester 1; be studying on-campus or externally; and be enrolled in a minimum of 3 study units in each of Semester 1 and Semester 2.
Amount | $2,500 The bursary provides a one-off payment of $2,500 to assist with costs associated in attending a rural and remote clinical placement and other study costs. |
