Standard entry requirements

A secondary education qualification such as the NSW Higher School Certificate (including national and international equivalents), OR approved higher education study, including approved preparation courses.

Recognition

B Design in Architecture followed by M Architecture is accredited for professional recognition by the NSW Architects Registration Board, the Australian Institute of Architects and the Commonwealth Association of Architects. If followed by M Urban and Regional Planning it leads to professional registration with the Planning Institute of Australia. If followed by M Architectural Science (Illumination Design) it leads to accreditation by the Illuminating Engineering Society of Australia and New Zealand. Both degrees have international recognition.

Study pathways

Completion of the Bachelor of Design in Architecture with a credit average permits entry into the Master of Architecture, on the provision that the student has completed Architectural Professional Practice as one of their electives.
