UTS Online’s Master of Advanced Nursing is comprised of 12 subjects, of which four are graduate certificate subjects. You have the option to follow one of the listed specialisation pathways, or you may choose to study a general pathway with no major (selecting any eight subjects from those on offer in the major and sub-majors).

Standard entry requirements

  • Applicants must have completed a UTS recognised bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification, or submitted other evidence of general and professional qualifications that demonstrates potential to pursue postgraduate studies.Applicants must be currently employed in a healthcare setting and have one year of post-registration clinical experience.Applicants must hold current registration as a nurse in Australia.The English proficiency requirement for local applicants with international qualifications is: Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0

While the Master of Advanced Nursing is offered as a stand-alone qualification, it is also part of an articulated program of study comprising many of the graduate certificates offered by UTS: Health, and the Graduate Diploma in Advanced Nursing. To obtain a student visa to study in Australia, international students must enrol full time and on campus. Australian student visa regulations also require international students studying on student visas to complete the course within the standard full-time duration. Students can extend their courses only in exceptional circumstances.
