The bursary was established by the University in 2001 in memory of Catherine King, a 2nd-year business student from Imbil. The bursary will be awarded annually to a student from the Gympie Region who is able to demonstrate academic success and financial need.

Eligibility

Applicants must: be first year undergraduate students from the Gympie Regional Council area who are the first in their family to attend university. Selection is based on academic merit based on first year, first semester results and financial need. A connection to the town of Imbil will be highly regarded.

Amount $1,000

The bursary is valued at $1,000 for 1 year.
