Indigenous Enabling Commonwealth Education Costs Scholarship (IECECS)

The Indigenous Enabling Commonwealth Education Costs Scholarships are available to Indigenous Australian students who are studying USC's Tertiary Preparation Pathway (TPP) from low socio-economic backgrounds, particularly those from remote and regional areas, to assist with the costs of undertaking a preparatory study program.

Eligibility

Applicants must: identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander; be relocating from a rural, regional or remote area; be enrolled full-time in the Tertiary Preparation Program (TPP) at USC (or part-time, where there are exceptional circumstances preventing full-time enrolment); and be able to demonstrate financial need. Other equity considerations and personal circumstances.

Amount $2,599

The scholarship is valued at $2,599 per year (2017 rate, indexed annually). Payment is for a maximum duration of 4 years of full-time study.
