June Canavan Para-athlete Sport Scholarship

University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC)

As an Elite Athlete Friendly University (EAFU), this Scholarship aims to attract and encourage para-athlete students pursuing higher education. Applicants are to be commencing or continuing full/part time studies in their first USC undergraduate program and be able to demonstrate high level sporting achievement, potential to continue to perform in para-athletic sport at a high level, academic merit and financial need.

Eligibility

Applicants must: be Australian or New Zealand citizens, or permanent residents or humanitarian visa holders; be commencing or continuing full-time or part-time, in their first undergraduate program; be classified as a para-athlete; be enrolled in any Bachelor program at USC. Selection is based on: high level sporting achievement; potential to continue to perform in para-athletic sport at a high level; academic merit; and financial need.

Amount $5,000

The scholarship is valued at $5,000 per annum, paid in 2 equal instalments after confirmation of enrolment in each semester for 4 years. Undergraduate program recipient will receive a value of $15,000.
