Sunshine Coast Daily Kathleen McArthur Memorial Scholarship

The Sunshine Coast Daily Kathleen McArthur Memorial Scholarship was first established by the Sunshine Coast Daily in memory of Kathleen McArthur, who was a conservationist, author, educator and activist and founder of the Wildlife Presentation Society of Queensland in 1962. She was selected by the Sunshine Coast Daily as the Sunshine Coast Citizen of the Century in 2002. The intent of this scholarship is to encourage and support a student with an active interest in the environment.
Eligibility
Applicants must: be graduating from a secondary school in the year prior to enrolment at a school in the Moreton, Somerset, Sunshine Coast, Noosa, Gympie, South Burnett or Fraser Coast Council local government areas. The applicant must be enrolling full-time in their first undergraduate program with selection is based on high academic achievement, demonstrated interest in and commitment to the environment and financial need.
