Thompson Study Support Scholarship

University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC)

Mr and Mrs Thompson are generous donors to the University of the Sunshine Coast, most recently making a $5 million gift to support the development of a multi-storey car park on USC's Sippy Downs campus, the revenue generated to fund The Thompson Study Support Scholarship and The Thompson Excellence Scholarship. Offered for the first time in 2015, the scholarship aims to support students in need.

Eligibility

Applicants must: be Australian or New Zealand citizens, Australian permanent residents or permanent humanitarian visa holders; be full-time students in their first undergraduate program; be enrolled in any USC undergraduate program; have successfully completed at least one semester at USC (48 credit points); and have a grade point average (GPA) of 4.0 or higher. Selection is based on financial need and hours worked in paid employment or commitment to activities that impact on the time available to study.

Amount $4,000

The scholarship is valued at $4,000 per annum for a 3 year program up to a maximum of $10,000, or $4,000 per annum for a 4 year program up to a maximum of $14,000.
