Tim Fairfax Regional Scholarship

University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC)

The Tim Fairfax Regional Scholarships were established in 2008 in order to support students who must move away from their home residence in a regional or remote area to undertake their university studies.

Eligibility

Applicants must: be commencing their first undergraduate degree at the University of the Sunshine Coast; and must have relocated from a regional or rural area to study at USC. Selection is based on: high academic achievement (OP 1 to 6 or equivalent); leadership skills demonstrated through academic, extra curricular/community activities; and financial need.

Amount $5,000

The scholarship is paid in instalments of $2,500 per semester for the normal duration of the program. Students will receive $5,000 per annum for up to 6 semesters for a 3 year program up to a maximum of $15,000, or $5,000 per annum for up to 8 semesters for a 4 or 5 year program up to a maximum of $20,000.
