This unit is part of the Manufacturing Training Package. It covers the skills and knowledge required to follow emergency response procedures in the workplace. It involves the use of workplace policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment for oneself and others. It applies to personnel who are required to know the signals when an emergency situation takes place as well as the proper procedures to follow in order to save oneself from possible injury and/or death or an individual working alone or as part of a team/work group and working in liaison with other shift team members and the control room operator, as appropriate. It may be used as part of an induction program for new workers.
