Bendigo TAFE

This qualification is part of the Retail Services Training Package. It provides skills and knowledge required by those who hold or wish to hold positions as specialist visual merchandisers in the retail industry. It applies to those who are working as a member of a retail national, state or store-based visual merchandising team; working in a business that designs and installs visual merchandising displays in the exhibition industry; or are self-employed as a freelance visual merchandiser.

Year 12 or equivalent


16 units: 8 core; 8 elective

Subjects you can Study:

Core: Explore the use of colour; Explore and apply the creative design process to 2D forms; Explore and apply the creative design process to 3D forms; Source and apply information on the history and theory of design; Develop digital imaging skills; Produce working drawings; plus more. Electives: Design and produce store plans and floor layouts; Style merchandise for photography; Present design concepts; plus more.
