This course will allow graduates to meet the current and future industry requirements to work effectively within the sustainability sphere, providing support for capacity building in sustainability initiatives. It addresses the current and consolidating movements across all sectors of Australian society, industry, business and government to improve performance in sustainability practice with the view to building such practice into standard operations. This course is designed to explore the relationship between the economy, society and the natural environment. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the risks & opportunities associated with addressing sustainability issues. This course is suitable to be delivered in conjunction with another diploma or qualification.

Entry Requirements:

No minimum education; well-developed communication and maths skills required


14 units: 4 core; 10 elective

Core: Apply basic concepts of sustainability to own, or local, practice; Develop a business plan for sustainable business practice; Develop and implement a program to support behavioural change for a sustainability initiative; Research and apply principles of sustainable production and consumption.
