This program is designed to suit various objectives of those who wish to pursue postgraduate studies in business and management at this level. The purpose of this course is to develop expertise in a functional area of business and management through a combination of advanced studies in the field, and to explore a particular aspect of a functional area of business and management through an in-depth research study following a previous course of study, which emphasised research preparation and provide a course framework which develops corporate planning strategies.

Standard entry requirements
- Bachelor degree from recognised Australian tertiary institution or equivalent and minimum 3 years professional experience
- Or appropriate first or second class honours degree. Students may enter with qualifications in disciplines other than business, but need to be prepared to undertake additional units at graduate level to provide them with a broad foundation in commerce.
Study pathways
Students should not enrol in this research course to receive a relevant postgraduate diploma but rather have undertaken it as a requisite for admission. Applications for credit towards a course are assessed on an individual basis.
