The Bachelor of Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) provides education in artificial intelligence systems development and exploitation that solves real-world problems using contemporary technologies while leveraging aspects of human intelligence. It offers national best practise work experience and job placement, training you for the needs of the South Australian and Australian technology industry and public service sectors.

Structure

In first year, students gain skills in the core computing technologies, and knowledge of general computing and introductory programming. In second and third year, students further develop their expertise in programming and software development, and are introduced to key facets of computer systems. Students can choose a minor in Human Intelligence, MultiModal Intelligence, Research Methods, Robotic Intelligence, SensoriMotor Intelligence or Serious Games.A Bachelor of Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) (Honours) is also available.

Standard entry requirements

This course can be applied for using one of the following qualifications: Year 12, TAFE qualifications, the Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT), the Flinders Foundation Studies Program and Tertiary Transfer. This course has a prerequisite of SACE stage two mathematical methods or specialist mathematics or equivalent.
