The Graduate Certificate in Graduate Certificate in Aged Care Administration is only available on a part-time basis. This degree is designed for applicants who are working in health and aged care, whatever their professional background, with the opportunity to acquire deeper knowledge and enhanced skills in aged care management. It builds on the current workplace experience of the student and promotes the application of management theories to existing problems. This strong industry focus is aimed at delivering direct benefits to students through knowledge and to aged care workplaces through its application.

Structure

Students complete three core (compulsory) topics and one option topic selected from two available. Topics are delivered through a combination of face-to-face on-campus workshops (of one to two single days) and online. Some topics are only available as week-long on-campus intensive workshops.

Standard entry requirements

Applicants must normally hold a bachelor degree or equivalent qualification and have a minimum of two years' full-time equivalent post-degree professional work experience in the health or aged care sector by the commencement date of the course. Applicants must provide details of their work experience in the health or aged care sector in their SATAC application.
