Students will have the opportunity to gain experience in contemporary approaches to visual arts. Students will develop studio skills and research methods and focus on both theory and practice, and develop an appreciation of the artist's role in contemporary society and become equipped for a career in a particular visual arts field. In the first year, students will gain a grounding in the fundamental aspects of visual art practice and theory and develop their individual skills, abilities and interests. In the second and third years, students will focus their studies towards their major studio area, while developing a wide range of skills, concepts and experience in other studio areas.
