Entry requirements for Institute for Emotionally Focused Therapy
Standard applications: Applications are sought from students with a relevant tertiary degree, who are eligible for associate or member status to a professional association, and who are currently working doing face-to-face supervised counselling.
Non-standard applications: Applications can be accepted from students who do not possess relevant tertiary qualifications but have an accreditation of equal standing from a recognised professional body (e.g. employed with a marriage and family agency accredited by Federal Attorney General's Dept. or a member of AAMFC), have comparable training at tertiary level, and currently working doing face-to-face supervised counselling.
Transfering your previous study credits
Practitioners who have successfully completed courses and workshops with the Institute over the last eight years are eligible to apply for advanced standing. The Training Committee will determine all advanced standing, recognised prior learning, and other requirements.
