Structure
- The Master of Archaeology is a 240-credit point course that consists of:
- Successful completion of 120 credit points of disciplinary core subjects
- and
- Successful completion of 60 credit points of subjects in a specialisation
- and
- Successful completion of 60 credit points of elective subjects chosen from a prescribed elective list
- or successful completion of 60 credit points of subjects in a second specialisation

Standard entry requirements
- Postgraduate: Prerequisites - Undergraduate requirements - Successful completion of an Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent).
- International: IELTS - 6.5 < 6.0 (PG minimum) - 6.5 IELTS (Academic) with no individual band less than 6.0.

Recognition
Graduates of the Master of Archaeology may be eligible to apply for registration with Aboriginal Victoria as a Heritage Advisor. Professional registration may be subject to additional or ongoing requirements beyond completion of the degree. Please contact the relevant professional body for details.
