La Trobe's Graduate Certificate in Sex, Health and Society will help you meet that need. Drawing on the latest research on sex, sexuality and health, you'll develop multi-disciplinary knowledge on human sexuality and its role in health and society. You'll discover how to create innovative programs and influence policies to improve the well-being of all communities. Developed by the Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health and Society, and taught in blockmode delivery, this course allows you to balance both work and study. You'll learn: Human sexuality research: Discover how research on human sexuality can benefit the work of educators, health care providers, health promotion practitioners and policy makers. Communication techniques: Learn how to discuss sex, sexuality and sexual health effectively in educational, professional and public settings. Human sexual development: Gain an understanding of the biological, historical, psychological and social concepts and ideas that shape the development of sexuality, sexual health and society. Diversity in healthcare: Explore how the sexual health and wellbeing of LGBTQ, disability and ageing communities can be improved. The qualification awarded on graduation is recognised in the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) as Level 8.
