This program integrates study in hospitality management and business management to develop excellent leadership capacity in the hospitality industry. Melbourne Polytechnic provides specialist facilities and equipment to support the development of strong vocational and management skills including: St Georges Restaurant (training restaurant at the Preston campus open to the public); kitchens; training bar; wine tasting laboratory; qualified academic staff supported by highly experienced industry practitioners; guest lecturers advising on current industry practice; work placement field trips; strong links with the hospitality industry and professional associations.

Study pathways

Students successfully completing the Associate Degree will have the option to pursue a third year of study to attain the Bachelor of Hospitality Management. Students may be eligible for credit, credit transfer and recognised prior learning based on previous education and work experience.
