This qualification reflects the role of flooring technicians who install floors or flooring materials in residential or commercial premises. Floors and flooring materials may be carpet, timber, vinyl, resilient, resin or concrete. Flooring technicians use a range of technical knowledge to perform skilled work involving known routines, methods and procedures.
