Restricted Electrical Licences (Training Program)

TAFE Queensland Gold Coast

This training program is made up of units from the Electrotechnology Training Package. There are 14 available Skill Sets developed to assist qualified tradespeople obtain a Restricted Electrical Licence within their specialised trade. Each Skill Set contains selected units of competency required to obtain this licence, allowing certain workers to carry out specific electrical tasks e.g. white goods repairer, repairing motors and heaters, plumbers: repairing hot water tanks, repairs to pumping equipment. The course provides training in basic electrical principles and their application, including safety and regulatory requirements for restricted licensing.

Current Electrical Work Training Permit in the area the applicant wishes to gain a full Restricted Electrical Licence

UEENEEP015A Disconnect - reconnect motors connected to low voltage installation wiring; UEENEEP024A Attach cords and plugs to electrical equipment for connection to a single phase 230 Volt supply; UEENEEP025A Attach cords, cables and plugs to electrical equipment for connection to 1000 Va.c. or 1500 Vd.c. supply; UEENEEP020A Locate and rectify faults in low voltage motors using set procedures; UEENEEP009B Locate and rectify faults in electrical low voltage appliances up to 250V following prescribed procedures.
