This qualification is part of the Business Services Training Package. It aims to teach students how to manage and operate a micro business and is suitable for those wanting to commence a business or those already operating one, particularly a home based business operator or independent subcontractor.

Core: Investigate micro business opportunities; Develop a micro business proposal; Organise finances for the micro business; Determine resource requirements for the micro business; Comply with regulatory, taxation and insurance requirements for the micro business. Electives: Develop and extend critical and creative thinking skills; Originate and develop concepts; Deliver and monitor a service to customers; Review and maintain a website; Maintain financial records; Process accounts payable and receivable; Support the recruitment, selection and induction of staff; plus more.
