This program provides an understanding of the principles, knowledge and skills required to prepare graduates to enter the profession of Industrial Design and through it to fulfil personal, professional and community objectives. The course aims to provide graduates for the diverse sectors of the profession. The course provides a general introduction to design followed by specific technical and artistic studies in both analogue and digital modes. There is significant industry involvement in the form of sponsored projects and visits to relevant companies. Students will achieve high levels of proficiency in the execution of design processes and procedures. Graduates will be equipped to pursue design careers in industry or in design consultancies, to extend their expertise in further studies or to initiate design or design-related enterprises.

Entry Requirements:

Year 12 or equivalent; Assumed knowledge: Year 12 Mathematics and English; Alternatively, students may be selected for entry by portfolio and interview.
