This program provides students with the legal knowledge and skills to conduct defended criminal proceedings by one party against another in the criminal justice system, with a focus on: the discretion of the prosecutor in investigation; charging and plea negotiation, case analysis, interviewing witnesses, and negotiation, as well as other aspects of case handling and courtroom advocacy. A student will develop the necessary skills to make representations to plead a case, to argue and persuade on behalf of client or organisation.
