This is an ideal qualification for sport and exercise science, clinical exercise physiology, or related graduates interested in advancing their career with strength and conditioning practices. Advance your coaching skills and strategies for working in high-performance settings and explore areas, such as leadership and negotiation in sport; athlete profiling, testing and data interpretation to develop strength and conditioning program designs, including injury prevention, rehabilitation, and sports nutrition.

Structure

4 units of study. Depending on the courses you select, you may be required to attend a mandatory residential school on the USQ Ipswich campus. The residential school will be for 5 days (Monday - Friday).

Standard entry requirements

  • Completion of an Australian university 3-year or 4-year bachelor degree in the area of sport and exercise science, or equivalent, or a relevant health-related discipline with a minimum GPA of 4.5
  • Or completion of a Graduate Certificate in the area of sport and exercise science, or relevant health-related discipline with a minimum GPA of 4.5.

Study pathways

Graduates can go on to study the Graduate Diploma of Strength and Conditioning.
