Applicants must: be Australian citizens or permanent residents; be proposing to undertake full-time study in the first year of the Bachelor of Materials Science and Engineering program at UNSW. Selection is based on academic merit and performance at interview.

A new scholarship is only offered when the current scholarship recipient completes their course.
