This course develops your knowledge and skills applied to successful entrepreneurial ventures, business to business (B2B) marketing, business to customer (B2C) marketing and marketing in the service industry.As a marketing specialist, you are responsible for generating key revenue in organisations. Marketing determines the products and services offered, prices, the communications (including advertising and promotion), as well as the channels of distribution and retail. Your skill set is also valuable in multiple areas of business including accounting and finance, human resources and management, taxation and law.The importance of marketing has grown over the past decade due to competition and a renewed focus on creating favourable customer experiences. The marketing manager's role has also grown due to increasing internationalisation and rapidly evolving technologies and social media, not to mention growing recognition of the need for sustainability and corporate accountability. All these changes have occurred during an era of increasing accountability.The Graduate Certificate in Global Marketing explores modern marketing in an increasingly dynamic and international business environment.

Structure

The course consists of four units that focus on skills and tools applied to successful entrepreneurial ventures, business to business (B2B) marketing, business to customer (B2C) marketing and marketing in the service industry.A candidate must successfully complete units totalling 40 credit points (cp) as detailed below. Standard entry requirements

  • Successful completion of a recognised bachelor degree, graduate certificate, graduate diploma, masters degree or equivalent international qualification in a business or related field
  • ORSuccessful completion of a recognised bachelor degree, graduate certificate, graduate diploma, masters degree or equivalent international qualification in an unrelated field plus a minimum of 6 months full-time employment experience in a managerial role. Applicants must provide documentation detailing their employment experience in the form of a curriculum vitae and two written referee reports in their application
  • ORConsideration will also be given to applicants without tertiary qualifications who have at least three years appropriate professional experience in middle to higher level management. Applicants must provide documentation detailing their employment experience in the form of a curriculum vitae (CV) and two written referee reports in their application.
