The course can only be taken part-time. This course has been designed to support one of two dementia specific professional pathways: leadership/policy or care. There are two core topics which provide a solid foundation to both pathways. The remaining option topics enable students to pursue what is of personal interest or professional relevance.
Structure
Students complete two core (compulsory) and two option topics aimed at providing students with an understanding of the relationship between behaviour and physical and mental health using a contemporary socio-ecological perspective.
Standard entry requirements
Applicants must normally hold an approved degree (Bachelors or Masters) or equivalent qualification in a health-related field from an approved tertiary institution. However, the Dean (Education) may, under certain circumstances and subject to specific conditions, admit others who can show evidence of fitness for candidature..
