Establishing the amount of credit that may be granted to a student involves assessment of a range of prior learning from: par - Recognised higher education institutions within and outside Australia. par - TAFE or other accredited Vocational Education and Training (VET) providers within Australia. par - A professional association or other similar body. par - Demonstrable skills and learning from work or life experience or other forms of practical experience, including voluntary work, that is relevant to the course being studied.
Students wishing to transfer between courses within KOI after they have been enrolled and partially completed their initial course, but before they complete this course, are granted credit transfer for this purpose. Credit may be granted towards a course within the limits permitted [See Section 4 Maximum Credit] where KOI is satisfied: par - That the subjects previously completed by the applicant were of the appropriate level and completed at the appropriate standard under AQF Specifications.
In the case of specified credit, that the applicant's previous formal studies or prior learning satisfy the objectives or learning outcomes of the relevant units of the applicant's current or proposed course of study for which credit is sought. par - The subjects used in the application for credit have been successfully completed within the last 10 (ten) years.
