This combined course enables studies in accountancy, economics, finance or financial planning which are ideal business majors to accompany the mathematics program, as students will learn how to undertake the sophisticated economic and financial modelling that is integral to business and government decision making. The mathematics program will prepare students for a career in finance, investment, information technology, environmental management, health, marketing, logistics, defence, media, education and research. Development of skills in communication, problem solving, critical thinking and teamwork form an integral part of the course and its graduates are also highly valued for their analytical and problem-solving skills.
This course consists of 384 credit points (32 units). The business component comprises of 16 units, consisting of 8 core units and 8 major units. The mathematics component comprises of 16 units.
