QUT's fashion degree is the longest running fashion degree in Queensland and provides industry-standard facilities. Students will be advised by leading industry mentors, and embrace the challenges and opportunities of 21st century fashion including ethics and sustainability, industry practices and emerging digital technologies such as 3D printing. In the studio, they will develop their design identity, working individually and in teams on real-world briefs and projects. Our students have opened pop-up stores, produced fashion magazines and websites, and collaborated with leading designers such as Lydia Pearson. The course includes the opportunity to study abroad and gain global experience. Students can extend their studies into related design fields including interior design and architecture or diversify their skills by pursuing second majors or minors in business and communication areas such as advertising, marketing and journalism.

Pathways to Master of Teaching (Secondary) and Master of Philosophy are available. Students may be able to claim advanced standing for part of their course, on the basis of completed or partially completed studies, and other assessable learning outcomes.
