Bachelor of Design - Landscape Architecture / Bachelor of Science

Queensland University of Technology (QUT)

Type of institution: University/Higher Education Institution
Level: Undergraduate
CRICOS: 00213J

Combine landscape architecture with science to enhance students understanding of the environmental impacts of mining, tourism and urban development. Embracing current industry trends and human-centred design, the design program provides heightened design opportunities for industry/consumer-informed bespoke (hyper-tailored) systems, products and/or services. Students will learn to be adaptable and resilient; and to create, think critically, and effectively communicate and collaborate in diverse contexts. Work integrated learning and international exchanges provide opportunities to network and receive first-hand industry experience. The science program offers a broad range of science options and the flexibility to tailor a science degree to suit a student's individual interests and career aspirations. The real-world approach to teaching ensures the course has a significant practical component providing graduates with the skills sought by employers. With this combined understanding of landscape architecture and science, students will be equipped to rehabilitate and reforest degraded sites, or design outdoor spaces that enhance the environment.
