The Graduate Diploma in Diagnostic Pathology will provide professional, industry centred education and training to current medical scientists or students who plan a career as medical scientists in a pathology laboratory. The Graduate Diploma in Diagnostic Pathology will be run collaboratively with ACT Pathology (The Canberra Hospital, Garran) with instruction from medical science and pathology professionals, supported by academic staff from the Faculty of Applied Science. In addition, students will have access to e-learning tutorials provided by UC's other major collaborator Siemens Diagnostics International.

Standard entry requirements
Applicants must have a degree equivalent to the Bachelor of Medial Science or Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science. Applicants with 10 years professional experience may qualify for direct graduate entry, as approved by the University. Assumed Knowledge: Chemistry and Pathobiology.
Study pathways
The Graduate Certificate in Diagnostic Pathology is subsumable into the Graduate Diploma in Diagnostic Pathology.
Further information
This course may require students to undertake clinical placements in health facilities and in that case applicants will be required to adhere to the relevant policies.
