The University of Newcastle Master of Business Psychology is designed for professionals and recent psychology graduates who are looking to advance their management skills from a psychological perspective to enhance performance outcomes within the corporate business sector. You will develop an advanced understanding of human behaviour and how this can be applied to manage workplace relationships, as well as specialised skills in applied psychology and organisational behaviour in the workplace.

Structure

160 units: 20 units Core Foundation Psychology courses, 60 units Core Advanced Psychology courses, 60 units Directed courses, and 20 units postgraduate Electives. Students may be eligible to complete a reduced number of units based on previous qualifications and/or experience. Refer to full admission requirements for pathway options.

Standard entry requirements

  • Entry with a Bachelor degree in a discipline other than psychology will be required to complete 160 units
  • Entry with a Bachelor degree in psychology will be required to complete 120 units
  • Entry with a Bachelor Honours degree or Graduate Certificate in a discipline other than psychology will be required to complete 120 units
  • Entry with a Bachelor Honours degree or Graduate Certificate in psychology will be required to complete 80 units
