During this program students will work in partnership with a number of women (and their families) during their pregnancy, labour and birth and the early post-birth weeks to provide effective woman-centred care. Integrated throughout will be placements in a range of health facilities and community settings. In addition students will gain practical experience in a range of maternity-related community and hospital settings. Practice placement will occur across the calendar year.International students cannot apply for this course.

Before undertaking scheduled clinical placement, students will need to complete the NSW Health Special Requirements for clinical practicum attendance.
